This is the first time I've done the Celtic bars and I learned a lot, so hopefully next time they will have better corners. This has been a fun pattern to make. I added borders so my quilt is about 56" square. The second picture is a better indication of the color than the first and third one. The background is a beautiful pale yellow, mottled with darker yellows and gold. I wish I had a lot more of that fabric. I quilted the light areas with a gold Metro embroidery thread, mostly feathers and swirls, and used a blue thread on the dark areas. I used W&N batting and did the quilting freehand on my Innova longarm.

I totally love this quilt. I want one. The colors are perfect. Your right that is an amazing yellow fabric. I was just looking at some old fabric from one of my first projects and one of the fabrics was yellow/gold molted fabric that I wish had a lot more of. I got it about 5 or 6 years ago.

Beautiful, beautiful quilt, color is so pretty (for lack of a better adjective), fantastic quilting. Love your little circles. I'm not a big fan of stippling, and your circles really work for me. One day I'll be able to FMQ at your level. In case you didn't get it, I love your quilt!
