I hear you panting in race against time. You won! What a pretty quilt. I feel they will be very proud to have it. I especially like the label. Good job..

Do you always wash the quilts before gifting them? And is there a particular reason why you do this?

I always press mine so flat so there isn't a wrinkle anywhere. OOPS!

I do not prewash my fabrics, with the exception of flannels. I want to wash it, shrink it up a little and check and see if any colors ran (I always throw in at least 2 Shout Color Catchers) and see if anything has come apart. These quilts were made to be used and washed. I have always washed and dried my quilts (in my front loader washer and dryer) before I have given them away. I have a wall hanging or two that I have not washed because they don't have the potential of getting dirty.

I have done that as well. Of course on those, I didn't get the washed before they were given. If that's the case, I tell them to wash it. Many times I will give instructions on how to wash the quilts, I don't want anyone to not use them because they are afraid to wash.

The colors are incredably beautiful. Hopefully any threads came off in the dryer. This is a great wedding gift.

Really pretty quilt. I work best under pressure, can know something for 6 months or more and still wait until the last day to finish.
