Very pretty! How long did it take to make one?
I don't really recall except after this one, I eliminated some seams and got a bit faster at it. I am a plodder so those 10-minute blocks?, wouldn't happen for me. Many people work much faster than I do so if you were quick at selecting fabrics, since it only uses three, I am thinking you could easily do in a couple of hours.

Well, to avoid working with bias cuts, I did the squares at the ends of the diagonal rows. Then after assembling, I lined up the ruler allowing the 1/4 inch seam past the cardinal fabric, and trimmed them up. There is waste that way, but as I said, it eliminates the bias edge. I haven't measured the finished size, but this one is probably just over 50 inches long. So when I did the smaller ones, there was really little waste on those squares when trimmed. If you need/want more info, pm me and I will be glad to send you my primitive little drawing.

Here is a picture of another one using the same pattern. This is the smaller version and I can't find a picture of another one that used fussy cutting to make the center blocks. It was cardinals on black with magnolias and I really liked that one. It is very versatile and the birdhouse fabric would work well.
