Several have asked questions about the cost involved in making this. Here's a breakdown of most of the materials.

The pattern cost $20. The dimensions of the runner are 14 3/4"X 51".
The fabric is fused onto interfacing. The directions say woven interfacing, 1 1/2 yds, 22" wide, but I used pellon type. I didn't buy much Christmas fabric, because I have lots of scraps from previous projects.

The Clover brand fusible gold lame bias was the expensive stuff. I bought it from the internet, but now I can't find which site. I've looked since I got it and can't find any low price for it. It takes 19 yds. That means 2 spools--the 11 yd. ones, not the 5 1/2 yd ones. The directions say to bind it in the quilt fabric. I bought gold lame fabric, which wasn't expensive to bind it--took about 1/4 yd.

I bought a spool of rayon sulky (their gold #942 1070 matches perfectly) and a twin needle (4/0/80)to topstitch the gold lame.

It was a more expensive project than I usually make. It helped that I borrowed the pattern. I probably spent $20-30 on materials and the needle. There are kits for sale, but I actually liked my fabrics better, probably because I bought my taste in colors to start with.
