Sadly, my DH took it to the UK to give to a Grand Niece (aged 5) and her Mother just said - oh - yes - thanks. I am so sad - as ALL MY LIFE, I wanted to make a quilt from squares and I LOVE this. so sad to see its not appreciated - I never heard from them again (it was a couple of months ago) and I even emailed to see how they were getting along with it and heard nothing.

They must not know anything about quilting to not appreciate that WONDERFUL quilt! The fact they don't appreciate it doesn't take away from the gift!

I know - I know - we all MUST learn to give quilts ONLY where they are appreciated!!!!

That is so pretty. And you quilted it yourself. The back looks great.

Rebecca...we appreciate your quilt...and I BET that your little niece will appreciate it also~ Just wait...sometimes things grow in appreciation. Keep up the great work and your spirit for sharing with others~

Send the mother a note asking her if her daughter liked the quilt you spent 3years making.

It is beautiful! Hopefully, one day your grand niece will appreciate the amount of work that went into your gift.

Well, we all love it and appreciate your hard work.

Love it! Sorry it wasn't appreciated! Non-quilters just do not appreciate all the hard work that goes into even a simple quilt and this doesn't look all that simple!
