Applause, applause, applause! Fabulous! The pins look exactly right. Your quilting plan (wavy, organic lines, not directly in the ditch) should result in wonderful texture. Well done, and it sounds like great fun with all the accessories to come. Congrats on a terrific top! |

Thank you thank you!!!!
Here is a picture of what I did on my first quilt, you can see the horizontal lines best in the minty fabric, and then you can see the vertical ones in the purple fabric. I'm hoping to get a similar look with the walking foot. http://www.quiltingboard.com/attachm...d=491489&stc=1 I also started sewing up my scraps. I took all of the discarded triangles and I'm sewing them together to make long rows. I might use them on the back. I also used the pink and blue octopus fabric to make my husband a reversible bow tie. I'll make something similar for my son after he picks which print he likes the most. Marilyn- this is a pattern from Jaybird called Lotus. There's a ruler called the Hex N More that can be used to make it, but the pattern also includes templates so it's not necessary to buy the special ruler. |
Fabulous. I wouldn't even attempt it.

Your back side is so precise! Nice work!
