It rained all weekend, so I was able to finish my quilt. The photo is too bright, but if you click the download button it will show a nicer photo. It still looks better in person. :-) Thanks for looking, have a great week!

I absolutely LOVE this quilt! I can't wait to get my EQ5 software this week.

Cordelia 07-28-2008 05:05 AM

I know they're always nicer in person! But, that one looks great on the screen too. And you did fabulous quilting on it too.

That's just great.

You and I must think alike. I use similar techniques and styles in my designs too.

Absolutely gorgeous! You did a great job! The quilting shows up beautifully when you download the picture. Was it done on a long arm or regular machine?

Thanks everyone! I made the quilt as a wallhanging. "If" I win a ribbon I will keep it and hang it in our entryway. If I don't place, I am planning to give it to my sister for Christmas. I honestly don't think I will win anything. I just wanted to enter the contest for the experience. It will be my first time entering a quilt for judging. My youngest daughter is entering a quilt too. She took first place and division champion last year (she was 9 years old). :D

Barb M 07-28-2008 12:53 PM

Oh my gosh!!! I didnt know children even entered quilt shows! Her quilt is gorgeous!!!

The fair is next month, last 2 weeks of August. I have to turn my quilt in on August 16th. Katie is working on hers right now. Will post pics later.

Thanks, Barb. Katie loves to sew and create, so I just let her go. May have to get her her own machine soon.

chairjogger 07-29-2008 12:33 AM

wow, i have done quite a few log cabin style projects. I love your light and dark choices. The heart is nice. was it paper pieced? It is formed so nicely ! Thanks for sharing !

Who gets the quilt? Do you get to keep it? What a lovely piece of work that can last for a long time !!

Ellen

chairjogger 07-29-2008 12:37 AM

I see I should have read on longer ! WOW ! you daughter has the bug too ! How lucky for you! something to share.

I do hope you win, and I do hope you can keep this quilt.. so much work.. A very nice one to keep for yourself. I do wish I had a nice example of my own work. I do know each piece has been appreciated ! I am a little wishful I had something I had done to snuggle in on long nights.. Sort of a reward.. hope that does not sound bad.

The quilting on the quilt is just great and the quilt is a blue ribbon for sure.

Marcia 08-01-2008 07:35 PM

Cissy-I just love your quilt. Thanks for sharing every step with us-designs, blocks, border, etc. Made us all feel like we all shared the journey. Now we will all be waiting to see if you win that blue ribbon. Can't wait!! Good luck-it looks like a winner to me :)

Blue Bell 08-01-2008 07:38 PM
