That's really pretty Patsy, I love the way you've picked the pink and green out of your print and you've done such a good job of the piecing

Very nice!! My next projects are going to be table runners with Christmas themes. That looks like a nice size runner. How long & wide did you make it? I may try something similar in some nice Christmas fabrics. :D

the runner is 16 x 33 finished size....the blocks are 7 1/2 finished...I made it up as I went along! LOL I just love star patterns! they make everything look so good!

Thank you for all the nice compliments!

I made a couple of runners last year & I also made it in a wider width. Mine were 16 x 72" as my mother in law wanted something longer for her table & she wasn't finding what she wanted in the pre-made variety. It was a fairly simple runner & would have been VERY, VERY simple except for the fact that after I'd turned it & sewn some red buttons on it I discovered a flaw (hole in fabric- 3" in from the finished edge) in the material & so then I had a creative challange. I made some bias tape in a contrasting color (red) to match the red buttons (I used those instead of quilting or tying). I sewed the bias (3 " in from the side) all the way around the runner & covered the flaw with the bias while actually making the runner look even better. I like it when that happens!! :D
