I have to share a bit--I acquired a gently used Horn cabinet yesterday for my Bernina. What a JOY--the machine is so quiet, no rattles or vibrations. AND a shelf to hold the quilt as I fed it through the machine. It was almost fun to quilt the pinwheel quilt this afternoon. So much easier than when I had my machine sitting on the picnic table.
The scrappy diamond is a QAYG. I found these strips and diamonds when I was cleaning the room, reorganizing for the new cabinet.

It isn't really a pattern as such. I just laid the diamond on a foundation (muslin) and sewed the strips around it in log cabin fashion. I sort of tried to use narrow strips on one end and the wider strips on the other. I found the leftovers from an earlier project when I was cleaning up my sewing room!
I think the table topper will be a house warming gift for a sister.
