In July I posted a quilt top I finished. Today I finished the binding after doing some echo quilting on the quilt earlier this week. So with great pride I will post the pics.
Actually, DD was going to throw away the material from the valance in her family room. [They bought the house and hated all the wallpaper and curtains.] So I talked her into washing it and then, if it was still good, I could take it home. Well that material will outlive me, I think! Anyway, I had plenty so tried a pattern from the Stack-n-Whack*apedia book by Bethany Reynolds. It is really one of the prettiest quilts I have ever made and, backed with a soft denim, is the most snuggley too! Thanks for looking and for all your encouragement in this new technique! I used the original material for the binding. Large Quilt from Stack-n-Whack*apedia |

That turned out wonderful. What a great way to reuse fabric. I love it. Thanks for sharing.

I just love it !! What a terrific story to be able to tell about the fabric. What came to mind as I read it was Scarlett O'Hara recycling the green drapes into a new dress.. you could call it "Tara" .. LOL !!

Great job recycling! I love your fabrics. Isn't the stack & whack technique fun?
