Butterfly Heirloom Christening Quilt. Tied this one as the Minky was very difficult to quilt on machine. Oh but it is so luxurious and plush and cuddlely! Washed and dried beautifully in machine.

QuiltNama 03-02-2014 07:23 AM

Like your other quilts I've seen, it's great and will be well loved. Can you tell us how you did the chevron section with the tiny flanges? I'd love to know how to do that . Do you have quilt shops on Bermuda do you have to get fabric from the mainland? I saw your quilter is in Florida. Joyce in DE

Great quilt. Can you please elaborate on how you do that braided bit on the sides, just exposing a very narrow flange of color?

LOL! Bermudian Quilter's go all over the world!!!! We did a cruise to Alaska already! We even did a Stitching cruise coming TO Bermuda! The Immigration couldn't understand why we were travelling to N.Y. to catch the Veendam to come to Bermuda then back to N.Y., then to fly home!!!!!! We have a beautiful collection of fabrics available right here on the Island! But there is not a long arm quilter. AND we do not have a sewing machine repairman either!!!!!
