I never hand sew bindings anymore. I now spend that time making quilts. Usually hand stitching isn't too bad but two king sized just a couple weeks apart was difficult. |
Both are amazing! As for machine bindings, lately, I have been attaching my bindings first to the back and then top stitching on the front. However, with quilts as beautiful as yours, I would do the bindings the conventional way.

Both are gorgeous very nice gifts for sure.

These two quilts are absolutely stunning!
Thanks for posting them. |
Absolutely beautiful! I see you're from Northern Michigan, one of my very favorite places! We have a cottage in Petoskey and go as often as we can get away.

Those are stunningly beautiful! So much work...I admire you for getting them done. Good accomplishment.

Both of your quilts are absolutely beautiful. I would be hard pressed to pick a favorite.
I use the flange binding on all of my quilts now. It is all machine sewed, and I think it even adds a design detail. I have also heard it called magic binding. It took me a couple of quilts to really get comfortable with it, but now I wonder why I ever did bindings any other way. |
Those are gorgeous!!! You did great with the patterns, colors, and patience. Nice Job done. Thanks for sharing.
