Finishing up quilt tops.

Here are a couple of quilt tops (and a back) that I have finished in the past couple of days.

The 24 quilt is for my husband. He designed it. I just had sew it together for him. Will be quilted with flames around the 24.

The red and black one is for a soldier who was in basic with my son.

Also my rebuilt ironing board. My husband rebuilt it for me to sturdy it up. Original design was fine when it sat on a table but started falling apart when I had to start moving it around

Its called the "blooming nine patch" I just learned the name of it myself. I had saw a quilt online several years ago made using this pattern. I realized it was a solid block and 9 patch so I recreated in my quilt program to make this quilt.

Attached is a how I created mine with fabric requirements.

I love this ironing board. 24 X 48 so I can iron a yard of fabric on is pretty easily I have an extra piece of the peg board left, I think I am going to have him make me a smaller version that I can sit right next to my machine for quick block ironing. :)

Great 24 quilt. Jeff Gordon won the Brickyard 400 on Sunday and we were so excited. The second quilt is very unique and I love the the colors. What a great ironing board I know you will get a lot of use out of it.

Love the black and red one. Thanks so much for sharing your pattern. I'm looking for quilt ideas to share with my mom. She has decided to cover all the beds in their house with new quilts. (made by me) So I'm looking for ideas for a King, Queen, Full and 2 twins. Of course, she wants all show-stoppers. This one might make a good show-stopper without quite as much hair pulling.

You did a magnificent job. The one with red, gray, and black is gorgeous. Looks as though it has a million pieces.

Must be a Jeff Gordan fan---I see he won his 5th race in Indiana where he first won it 20 years ago and they named it Jeff Gordan Day.
