I love it!!! I have just gotten material to try a 10 minute quilt, and I've been hesitating starting it. But You have just encouraged me to start it. Now I'm excited about it. Your quilt is so cute!!

Absolutely gorgeous.

I've never seen a 10 min block done so that it created a solid background with the center being the focal point like this one...and I absolutely love it!!! Will be bookmarking this for sure!!!

Lukeje, no one answered you, so I will tell you what I think she did on her special center blocks, was her center 10 minute block was a white one, and then she fussy cut her underwater fabric and put it inside the white center (after it is all sewn) and then turned over the edges and sewed them down, making a very cute baby quilt. Now a story from me: When I made a 10 minute block with a directional middle square, I fussed and fussed and fussed some more and then realized, that since the back ground squares were all the same, I could just turn my block until the patter was the way I wanted it--(hanging my head in shame for something so simple)

Super cute!

so cute.....but you have to tell me how you got the white "frame" around the centers.....I keep thinking of different ways, but coming up blank.

Have I missed the posting on the 10 minute block??? Yours is very pretty
G*A*S*P............SO PRECIOUS! LOVE IT, LOVE IT, LOVE IT....DID I SAY IT ENOUGH? LOVE IT!!
Beautiful!!
Here's a video of how you get the fussy cut square in the center: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DvXUvKIzYZY and the 10-minute block: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZbTHlGGKMPM For a 10-minute block/faux cathedral window, you start with five squares the same size...any size will do. The bigger they are to start with, the more space will show between the blocks, as in this quilt, which makes them looklike they are floating. |
Very cute, gives me an idea to use the flannel I just got from an estate sale.
Very cute. Love the fabrics
looks great,I love when this block is used like you did with the little windows
I got the info about the 10 minute block from the person who posted the picture the other day but when I went to the site they said it had been discontinued because of overuse or misuse. Of course I had copied it and then deleted the original.
Beautiful
