OK, you can stop showing off now... :D

Seriously, the quilts are great and look warm and cuddly. My favorite is the second one, so if Jacob gets tired of it, you can ship it to me.

These are all wonderful. I'm liking Jacob's the best...looks complicated with your choice of fabrics. Welcome to the board!! Keep showing off, please!

How on earth are you a beginner doing piecing like that second one? Incredible! I like your artistic style!

Thank you for sharing your photos...you obviously enjoy the craft/art of quilting. Some people take to it like ducks to water...you seem to fit right in. : )

Galactic connection definitely shows your creativity.

madamekelly 01-15-2019 11:32 AM

I like your esthetic with the bold contrasts. I tend to chose similar colors, but where yours seems to be a modern style, mine are more traditional patterns with unusual colors.

sJens 01-15-2019 11:45 AM

Love every one of your quilts. Great job.

Jordan 01-15-2019 12:05 PM

Welcome to the Board! :-)

I've seen the blooming 9patch before. It's such an interesting pattern! But not so easy to do with scraps--as you need a certain amount of each print, and scrappy is what I usually do. I'd like to sew one sometime though. Your quilts look so cozy.

I am planning a B9P for my bed one of these days. I'm collecting the fabrics slowly. Generally I make mostly scrappy quilts, and I think for a scrappy B9P, rather than focus on having one pattern for each section, I would focus on using one color, in scrappy prints. It might not have quite the same look, but it would be a fun way to try one.

For example, pink florals then picking up a color from the pink floral, perhaps yellow, then make that row yellow florals, then to a color from the yellows, perhaps blue, and doing blue florals... just an idea.
