First Applique Class Project

2 Attachment(s)
This is what we did in the first applique class I took several years ago.

I apologize that I do not remember the teacher's name - I do remember that she was excellent - and that we learned a lot!

I also remember that she told us to wash our fabrics first - and the Moda Marble yellow had a LOT of excess dye in it - and interestingly/surprisingly enough - the other colors did NOT color the water.

Such a beautiful start and so precise! I only applique if I really have to. I am getting more confident though. Practice makes perfect. I can't imagine how much more you have accomplished since the class.

You did lovelly work. I also like applique but I need a better set of reading glasses before I can get back to it :p Aging eyes make detailed work difficult. Did you make that block only or do you have enough for a quilt?

Very nice. Good job.

You can certainly applique! I took a class & tried really hard, but did nothing close to perfection like yours, way to go!

Beautifully done, so very neat. I love applique.

Very pretty! So is it going to have many more blocks to make a quilt or a single block for a pillow?

Beautifully precise!! Will this be a beautiful pillow or a quilt???

Look at those tiny tiny stitches, Wow.

Thank you for looking - it was fun - but that's the last applique I've done (unless one counts applying a patch to something!)

The instructor's name was Leslie Hickland

I really enjoyed her class - it was well organized and she was a nice lady! (She said I was doing 'a good job' - so, of course, she is a nice lady!)

You did a great job. My applique doesn't look near that good.

It's great! I'm just starting something similar so hope I can do as well.
