Don't you love learning new techniques? Even when all I really learn is that it's not a technique I want to use again, I'm generally happy to have tried it. You did a great job. Smart using your daughter :-)

I've never done anything that big doing the chenille process. I'll be it will be really cozy when it fluffs even more.

Oh ya!!! I just love learning how do do new things. This one, I don't think I will do alot, but it is good to know how to do it, and next time, how to do it differently. My daughter was such a help!!! Oh, I can't tell you how much of a help she was. I had carpel tunnel and still have issues with it and cutting with scissors brings out some pain and cramping up. I'm just glad that she enjoys it. :)

I'm sure it will fluff up more. I will throw it in with the next few washings that I have to see how it turns out.

I LOVE doing Chenille....I have done several rugs. I bought some Batiks that I wanted to do a rug with and the lady at the quilt shop told me Batiks will not fray.....so glad she told me as I would be very upset having spent all that money on Batik fabric and then it not fray.

I wonder if they really will. I know it is a tighter weave, but they should fray a little bit. Maybe I will try it out to see how it works. Just a small test one. Or maybe you could do a few layers of flannel and then batik with it so you will still have the fray but if one layer doesn't...it really wouldn't matter. Now I'm curious!!!
