I loaded up EQ7 today and it took less than an hour to design this quilt I need to put together for my local guild challenge (which is due on Monday - nothing like leaving things for the last minute  )

I really like all the new quilt layouts included with EQ7. This is one of them.

"only" 42" square. It's 12-inch blocks.

The cool thing is if you put a square block inside a triangle, it adjusts it automatically to fit. I don't think EQ6 did that.

Way to go!! And how did you all get your EQ7 already? I just got the email today that my pre-ordered copy has shipped, scheduled for delivery on June 21st.

I received my EQ7 last week, but haven't had a chance to play with it yet. I was still doing the lessons in EQ6 so I have a while to go before I could ever try anything like that. Very very nice!!

I ordered mine within a couple of days of the pre-order announcement. And I wasn't the first one here to get my copy.

Thank you, but you are selling yourself short! The design part was really easy - the quilt is in one of the layout libraries, and I used some standard blocks from the block library (I think I mention them in the blog post). The time-consuming thing was coloring it in :)

Will you be sewing 24/7 until Monday. Good luck!!

Jim's Gem 06-16-2010 10:08 AM
