I am making a quilt with machine embroidered designs from emblibrary.com, called "Animals in Pajamas II" I fell in love with the little guys and am anxious to put either nine or twelve of them into a quilt for my nephew's first child due in December. I think I'll us the Quilter's Cache pattern of "Hourglass 4" as the surrounding block. Not sure yet. There will be more to come (if I don't shoot my embroidery machine! ).

those are precious, but where is the ducky??
Funny you should mention that, CajunQuilter. I wondered the same thing. I don't think any of the Animals in Pajamas collections have a ducky. It's an outrage! I may need to write them.
Those are just the neatest thing since sliced bread!!
And , uh, Ducky , please don't shoot your embroidery machine. You just got your other baby home from the hospital!   |
Ducky, those are the cutest! You might just have to buy a Ducky separately though...can you find one?
Oh, so cute, wish I had an embroidery machine!
Good job. I LOVE EL's designs, they stitch so perfect!
They are soooo cute. What a lovely baby quilt they will make :) :)
real cute, can't wait to see it finished. Hope there is a duck in the final project.
Those are really cute. I need to learn how to use my embroidery unit!!!
Ha! I found a duck in pajamas. I need to finish the others first before I clear the memory card to add it. Yes! There will be a duck!
Adorable! I am eager to see the finish piece. Hourglass would be good symbolically -- children grow so fast.
I know your pain regarding embroidery machines. I used to design embroidery images and testing them on my machine would be the most frustrating thing, my Brother machine is so pissy!!! |
cute

So cute! :)
Wow! I'm impressed. I really thought that machine embroidery couldn't be very good, but that is great! Cute little animals, too. The finished quilt will be darling.
Way too cute!
The designs are just adorable, it's going to be such a cute quilt!
Oh, those are so adorable. Can't wait to see the quilt.
Thanks for sharing my excitement here with these little guys. I am working on three more and will post them, too. Not sure if I should do it here or start a new thread with a different subject line....

Jim'sGem, I think you would really enjoy it. It's just a fun change of pace. Ninnie and Cutebuns do quite a bit also.

And, thank you 2wheelwoman, suzi and Joeyoz....I'm really hoping I can make the setting around them "right". I have lots of baby fabrics -- both cotton and flannel -- and I was wondering if I couldn't do a little bit of a scrappy block. We'll see.
Love the embroidery work Ducky, be nice to the machine and maybe it will behave, you have to talk sweet to it!
oh how adorable :-) I should really get back to embroidery. been awhile :(
Oh my goodness. I just love those. They are adoreable :D
Thank you so much, Scrappinmad and Bev. I've had so much fun in doing them. I just hope my nephew and wife like it as much as I do.!

sorry double entery new on here posting
Awww! What a great gift!! And work! But, really cute! And, yes, you should write them and tell them the duck must have been lost on the trip or something!:)Skeat (how long does it take to make one of those...say the turtle. They do look like much work/time is involved and thread! But, since I don't have one...I wasn't sure)

They are wonderful - very cute!

Some certainly take more time than others. For something like the turle, I usually can plan on 45 mins. or so....and that's without interruptions. I'm working on slowly building up my threads with larger spools than just the 200's. [/quote] Wow Ducky!! That is why they look so amazing! Thanks for telling:)Skeat |
My DH asked me if I would like an embrodery machine for my birthday. I told him no, because I really didn't like it that much. Well, I just changed my mind. Those are really awesome. Love them! My favorite is the teddy with the teddy.
