If that is your first try at FMQ, you’re on your way to stitching wonderful things. You seem to have the knack already.

It appears that you are on your way to success with a new facet of quilting. There is so much printed and filmed about FMQ. There is no shortage of information. It is like swimming-you have to get wet to do it. I really love to do FMQ. But, each of us has to find our own way to do it; machines, foot, sliders or no sliders, hoops or no hoops, gloves or no gloves. Try them to see what works for you. But, keep going. You are definitely on the right track. Happy quilting!

I think starting is always the hardest part. Your first attempt is wonderful. Don't be so hard on yourself. As you can see on your finished project, it looks great and adds a lot of texture to the flowers. The recipient won't have their nose two inches from the quilt to inspect. Keep going, you have done the hard part.
