I would think quilting something with feathers on it? I have made a chicken quilt also and having the same trouble, don't know quite how to quilt it.

It is a super nice 4Patch. You don't like the chicken heads because you saw them up close and personal. I made a StackNWhack with cats. The first set of blocks had cat tails and circles of eyes. As long as I keep my mouth shut others don't notice them.
