Ok, If I do this right you will see a pic of my first project larger than a table runner. Loved the paisley fabric and used a pattern called Contra Dance where I pieced all the rows together and then had to cut the whole quilt top into three odd pieces. Talk about freaking out when it came time to cut!!

YIKES! Cutting into the top would freak me out too. But, the results were definitely worth it. Lovely quilt.

No way, that can't be your first quilt. It's very, very pretty. I can't believe you took on your first quilt to do that is on point. I bet no one told you that on point can be a little difficult because of the bias cuts. I love it!!!! If someone had told you that, you might not have made this beautiful quilt.

ScubaK 07-12-2009 07:16 PM

That is beautiful...

Did you take a photo BEFORE you cut it? I can't envisage what it might have looked like. I love it now, but I can understand how it must have been hard to cut it, well done.

quiltluvr 07-13-2009 03:35 PM

Awesome! I've seen patterns like that and thought "how ingenious" but agree, it sounds worse.

Anyway, I'm just drooling over the paisley! Could you tell me what it is and who makes it? (I have a paisley fetish! Oops--did I say that outloud??? LOL)

Kyiav10 07-13-2009 03:38 PM

That is a beautiful quilt! I too am partial to paisley's.
