First quilt for DH after 10 yrs of quilting! Inspected and OK!

My DH doesn't like the entire quilting affair nor the traditional quilts but once in a while he makes statements in front of friends like. I don't have a quilt made by my DW. So I was looking for a fabric that he would like and a pattern that wasn't too quilty and came up with the attached. The batik I bought here in the QB.
I was going to take a pic to show here and the quilting inspector felt like inspecting. See below. |
When the weather cool off I'm sure he will use it. Very nice and I like the inspector too.

The quilt is beautiful ~ he should love it - the cat does! Pretty cat, too.

Great job and I love the light fabrics! :)

Looks like the inspector approves. Very nice quilt

The kitty is wanting to watch the fishy swim by. Too cute!. I like you quilt. The white and aqua are so clean and soothing. I hope hubby likes it.
|
The inspector is probably thinking about going fishing. Kool quilt, glad your DH likes it. BrendaK

Seems like the inspector approves so DH better watch out or the inspector will take it from him
|
Great quilt and nice inspector!
|
like it and so does the cat, hehe
|
OH i like that, is there a name for the pattern? He will love it and that is one statement he won't be able to make again..........
|
Ummm, so was your inspector thinking"Dinner!" when laying on the quilt?
My Hubby would like this quilt too. Beautiful. Happy quilting, Susan |
Looks like he won't be able to say he doesn't have a quilt...
|
Great quilt and nicely done. Bet the quilting police gave it tens-of-a-paws. [ tons of applause] I could not give hub a white quilt because he'd be rolled up on the floor in it and I'd have a heart murmer! Funny as I typed murmer on the ipad by mistake I hit t for the last r and it spell corrected me to say " murder" ...well that might happen too:). :). :)
|
Very nice and not too quilty like you wanted!
|
I found a blog with a tutorial but it is very simple. Keep the picture handy to place the blocks. The blocks are all the same, cut one square or your desired size and attach a strip of fabric to one side and then a second to the adyacent. Then play with the blocks in rows, every other row repeats. If i found the tute I'll post again, i might have save it in my dashboard.
