First quilt progress

Started quilting this afternoon still have more to do. Just doing straight stitching. Not perfect but not expecting it to be. I am naming it “Learning”.

I like the colors you picked. It will be a good quilt to snuggle with

Great looking first quilt!

When you say your first quilt are you talking about piecing or quilting? I'm just curious, I really like the way you staggered the blocks and your colors are spot on. Good job can't wait to see the finished quilt!

Congratulations. We all made our "first Quilt". I would guess that when you reach Quilt 4 or 5 you will be amazed how much you have "learned". Welcome to our world of creating beauty out of scraps of fabric.

Yay! for first quilt and piecing! It's looking great.

Your quilt is looking great. My first was similar but it was 2" squares & I alternated solid squares & print squares. I pieced & quilted it by hand (all straight stitching). I still have it but it is falling apart everywhere. I didn't know anything about 1/4" seams & that was back in the 60's when we didn't have rotary cutters. :) Your colors are great. I look forward to seeing the finished quilt.

How exciting this has to be for you! It is so pretty and so colorful! First quilts are just as you said, learning. I have been quilting now for around 30 years and still learning new stuff and it keeps quilting so exciting.

I would say you are hooked and make sure you let us see your next project.
