very nice and it is a big one for a first one. I like the colors and it is all from your stash? Great achievement isn't it?

I do want to add a label but uncertain how to make one, write on it, with what, etc. Figured I'd use muslin but thats as far as I've gotten.Thoughts?

Here is one of many tutorials about quilt labels. http://www.quiltmaker.com/blogs/quil...nd-a-giveaway/ If you google quilt label tutorials you'll find more info.

ditto on all the feedback -- lovely quilt -- finished my first one last winter -- they are right -- it is addictive -- use to love to watch my grandmother quilt -- hers were all quilted by hand done on the large frames -- believe or not -- the frames were made from the roost the chickens use to roost on during the night

Thanks for the positive responses. Yes, this is an addictive art - the snip of the scissors, the hum of the machine, seeing it come together as the design and pieces take form. It all! So gratifying and feels to rise from deep within our roots. Ahhh, such a wonderful, warm, rumpled coziness. I did have to supplement a bit of the border and the backing, the rest was given.
