I love the colors in your quilt, and I think your swirls look great, and if you are happy with it, that is really all that matters. I see nothing wrong with your nice swirls, keep practicing, and you will get even better.(Lots of Love) You are very lucky, I haven't got any where to put a long arm, maybe I will one day. I do all of my quilting by hand, and boy does it take a long time. Thank you for sharing with us.

Congratulations on joining the world of us longarmers! For your first quilt, you did a very good job! I also have a Tin Lizzie & really enjoy the possibilities! Like Debcavan said, muscle memory is what you build from practicing. Grab a dry erase board or just doodle on paper til you have the design you want down pat. I see a lot of great quilts coming off that new machine in the future!
