I think it's looking OK, so far, so good. They are not stitched together horizontally, just laid out.

Those are beautiful cross stitch blocks...and a lot of handwork.

Darcyshannon 02-18-2019 04:16 AM

Stunning. I love botanicals and I cant wait to see this all together.

I tried blowing the picture up, but I can’t make out whether this is cross-stitch or needlepoint. In either case, what kind of fabric are you working on? I’m amazed that the the stitches didn’t pucker the fabric. Your designs and colors and stitches are all gorgeous. What beautiful designs.

Beachbaby12 02-18-2019 07:32 AM

All beautiful - love all the colors too!

luvstoquilt 02-18-2019 07:34 AM

I agree with Waltonalice. Stunning! I can’t quit looking.

Those are gorgeous blocks! What is the source of the designs? How many years did it take you to make them?!

They are cross stitch, sewn on 27 count Zweigart Linda (100% cotton) antique white. 2 stands of DMC thread. I always use a hoop and stretch the fabric drum tight. When a square is complete I soak them in water as hot as I can stand, with Biotex. after soaking until the water is almost cold, rinse and wring out by hand. Put them right side down and use a hot iron and iron 'til dry. Drastic, but it works for me.
