First Time EPP
1 Attachment(s)
Since my sewing machines are in storage, I decided to try my hand at English Paper Piecing. I'm very happy with the process, not so much with my ability to "randomize" color placement. The hexies are 1 inch on a side.

I think this is very unique and very pretty. Great job. We all have our own ideas and there are no rules to place your colors in a certain place. Too much time is put on perfection and not enough time in the joy of quilting
I think you did a wonderful job. How long did it take you.
It took not quite 10 weeks to reach this point. Just don't ask me how many pieces there are... My math skills are so bad I can't even figure out how to count hexies LOL!
You did a great job on your quilt!
Beautiful work!!!
Love the quilt. I have been working on a grandmas flower garden for over four years, its amazing you completed your top in 10 weeks.
nicely done... more patience than i would have :)
Oh. my goodness. Your quilt is amazing.
10 weeks? I don't think I could do this in 10 years! It looks great to me.
Thank you everyone for all your kind words :)
I hope to have it sandwiched and into the quilting hoop before too much longer ( it's waiting for me to finish second top since they will share backing). This will be my first ever quilt that from start to finish will not have seen a machine. I think I like the slowing down. |
That looks like it was a lot of work; good job.
Well done! Don't you love EPP? It is one of my favorite things!
Well done. This is on my bucket list!
very nice quilt top
Very pretty!!! They are very addictive but so much fun.
I agree they are VERY addicting! I am just shy of finishing the second top with 1" hexies, and have ordered the papers to start making Lucy Boston's Patchwork of The Crosses blocks. I expect the PoTC blocks to be a long term project, as I am hoping to gather fabrics for blocks during vacations and travels.

Awesome job!
