not sure about the cornerstones...what i will make them yet....but what do you think?? i've never done a b&w before and i think it's going to be alot of fun!
I really like them! It is neat how they are a positve and negative image of each other in B&W.
I like it. I've done a couple of black and white with red quilts and love that combination. Not sure about what cornerstones would look best with yours though.
Love red, black, and white quilts!
Great start!!
I think I love it! Beautiful!
Those are nice. How about solid black cornerstones?
i LOVE churn dash blocks and i think your b&w&r is going to be a knockout
Very Nice, I think Black corner stones with the red shashing is lovely.
Simple black cornerstones would be perfect!
I agree with the black cornerstones. I love your blocks, please post picture when quilt is finished.
Oh so pretty!!! I am starting to collect black white and red fabrics. Hope mine turns out pretty like yours. Make sure to post the finished quilt :)
I like them both. Love the red sashing.
Your blocks are beautiful, can't wait to see the finished quilt. I didn't use corner stones on the ones i made. I have done 2 of them and love, love, love the black and white. Starting a charity quilt using black and white samples i got. Don't know if i will use red in this one or not, none of the samples have red.
i woke up this morning and my first thought was those blocks! first church and then exercises for the healing back and THEN its block day! LOL this is going to be fun! i think i will do solid black cornerstones, its going to get pretty busy as it goes along! i will keep you posted and keep pics going. i can see it in my minds eye when its done but that minds eye has a tendency to fool you once in a while! thanks much guys!! the feedback is great!
This will be a fun one to work on ... looking good with only two blocks.
Black as Phannie suggested could be nice .... or no cornerstones, just the red sashing. Plus ... have you considered no sashing? if you alternated the positive/negatives, you'd get a really nice look too! |
Love them! The touch of red really makes the black and white stand out more, I think.
That is going to be a great quilt!
So pretty! I think black cornerstones.
Love the black and white churn dash blocks. The red in the blocks and the sashing really stand out and make the blocks pop. I agree that "IF" you do cornerstones that you use black. Can't wait to see more blocks.
Really nice use of black and white...
I like it so far! I've wanted to do a b&w one before....so keep us updated and let us see the finished product!
I love your blocks and I also lean to a black cornerstone. Great job so far.

looks great. I love doing black, white and red quilts. I like your quilt so far.
You're off to a great start! :)
They are wonderful! I can't wait to see the final outcome.
I'm just finishing a black and white zentanglish-type quilt. I've quilted and bound it and have a couple flowers to applique on the front. I saw another member that appliqued large poppies on the front of her black and white quilt and it really made it bloom (no pun intended). Black and white is such a wonderful canvas to work on. Yours will be wonderful. I love the churn dash block and think the quilt will tell you what color the corner stones should be. Thanks for sharing.
How kool this quilt will be. Looking forward to seeing the finished quilt. Makes me want to get going on one for me. BrendaK

Great blocks, love your fabrics and love churn dash. Would love to see your finished quilt. As for cornerstones, you may want to wait and decide after your blocks are completed.
