  I can't answer any questions I'm too mesmerized by watching the fish swim....
|
You could outline some of the fish with the invisible thread to stabilize the center then stitch in the ditch on both inner & outer edges of the dark green. Stipling or cross hatch would work on the outer border although I think it would be cool to hand quilt or embroider some fish hooks all around it.
I could also see a fishing pole embroidered or appliqued on one side with a fishing line going up & into the tank. Nice wall quilt. Creative idea. |
My DD would love that fabric. She is a fishing nut. We tease her and tell her on her wedding day she will be late because she had to stop and see if the fish are biting. I do feel for her (much in the future) husband. He is going to have his hands full with her fishing passion.

Oh that looks really awesome Ruth! Can hardly wait to see how you finish it :)

I'm with Barnbum - too mesmerized by what's already there! Love it!

I would like to suggest some tiny white beads rising up from the fishes mouths to look like bubbles....!!
LOvely wall hanging!! |
That is just way to cool, I would buy some fishing lures remove the hooks and attach them near a fish or two, along with hand stitched hooks out of gold thread so they stand out. Please post finsihed picture.

Nice job Ruth! My husband liked it too. Have some fun with all the suggestions for embellishments. You'll have a work of art!
