My sister-in-law Vicki made this wall hanging for her home in Montana and I quilted it for her. Again I was lost on how to go about quilting it, I searched the Internet and when I went on a Quilt Shop Hop, I spotted a pattern that gave me this idea. Her work is raw-edge applique.
I guess it might be a good idea to add the attachment? Ya Think? I don't multi-Task to well!!!! Vicki's Fish Wall Hanging... Close up |

Pretty! And I love the way you quilted it.

This is really nice. Did you quilt this using your regular sewing machine or did you use special tools to quilt with? I like your work.

Hi Susan
I quilted this using my extended bed Janome 6500, I've had it for about four years now and love it, I can quilt a queen sized quilt but really like doing wall hanging, table runner, baby blankets and small quilts. Just my size. I started out on a Bernina Quilters Edition machine and went to the Janome for that extra room. I didn't use any thing extra just started stitching and making circles and they kind of echo stitching on this one. I love making flowers and leaves too, and really enjoy trying new things. When I started quilting and looking a quilting magazine took on a whole new world for me I looked beyond the patterns and fabric and at the quiltings other do, even using some idea from long arm quilter. |
Thanks. You are so smart. I think you have done a lovely job. :D
