Fit to be tied
2 Attachment(s)
I just made this quilt for a very good customer. Each of her grandbabies has a quilt that I've made, this is her first girl! The pattern is "Fit to be tied". All the bows are 3-D. I used Hobbs Polydown for the batting & Glide thread for the quilting.

what is glide thread?
Glide is a type of thread used for longarms. It's produced here in the US (hagerstown, MD) & is a polyester. It outshines most other brands of thread, plus they have what is called Magna-glide pre-wound bobbins. They have a magnet in the center of the bobbin. It's an awesome thread, tensions are always perfect & stitches out beautifully. It's also a lot cheaper than the other threads. You can go to their website www.bobbincentral.com for more information. It's also used a lot for embroidery.

Perfect baby quilt for a baby girl!Colors are awesome too!

Whew! By your title, I thought I was going to read a rant, but no - instead I found a picture of a beautiful baby quilt! So much better than a rant. That is really probably the most unusual baby quilt I've seen. I think it is very pretty. Nice job!
Pretty quilt! The baby will love it! :)
a very sweet quilt for a sweet little lady.
What a lovely quilt for a new baby
I have seen a quilt done like this several times, and would like to try it sometime. It looks very easy, except the twisted center. How much longer do you cut that for it to fit on the block? I'm sure I could figure it out with a few practice tries. Great job on the quilt!

"Sweet" was the first thing I thought when I saw this--but sophisticated, too.
BettyM, I think it was 1" bigger, but you also have to cut down the sides to make it look right. There was a template in the pattern.
very pretty!!!!
Beautiful colors! Soft and cuddly!
