The double sashing looks great with the scrappy Dresden plates. Good idea and a very nice quilt.

LOVE IT!!! so have to ask? What did you do "wrong".... before you had to redesigned to this beauty??

dolores 01-29-2011 08:17 PM

I done FMQ in the sashing and it got a pucker in it and had to take the foot off and tried to cut the threads and ripped a hole in it. I picked out all the stitching in that area and it had a big hole in it. Luckly it was close to the seam, it also had extra fabic when I took the basting out as I quilted it. So I had almost the whole quilt done before I had this disaster. I spray starched the area and patted down the excess and folded over and hand sewed a new seam then done the fmq on it. When I saw that hole I thought it was ruined but after I got done. You couldn't even tell where it was.

Love the quilt and shams!! I am not usually a fan of Dresden plates but am a fan of scrappy, you may just have converted me
