Flannel Quilt
4 Attachment(s)
Over the weekend there was a discussion started about putting a cotton backing on a flannel quilt. I just finished one up this evening and so I thought I would share the pictures
This has a flannel quilt top and the back is quilting cotton with warm and natural batting. I did not prewash anything. There are things that I wish were different, but I am happy with how it turned out. This will be donated - along with a stuffed animal and toys - to a local family for a christmas gift for a 1 year old little girl This is more of a "crinkly" quilt, but I like how it looks |
It is beautiful and the baby will love it. I like the crinkly look. All my quilst crinkle too until they are used more.

My mother made quilts like that from flannel prints on both sides for her grandchildren and then her great grandchildren. All of those children adored those quilts and dragged them around for years. Thanks for those memories.
