I've been using up all the flannel and kiddie scraps that I had, plus all those that a friend brought over. I have 15 quilt tops to do now, and probably about 7 or 8 done that I've either given away or sold. Here is a little preview of what I've done to clean out the sewing room.

This one is like the camo quilt I showed recently. The pattern is much better than those 45 degree angles

I have this one tied, but not the edges yet. It's pretty pale and very girlish

It's from weird scraps, but turned out great for a boy.

But wait! There's more. . .

This one was a challenge to match colors and use up cute little scraps.

Whewwwww, I'm almost done

This one was fun because of the great little circus prints, but it was not as easy to make that pile of scraps into a quilt top.

Wow, those are beautiful. Is the tumbling blocks the quilter's cache pattern? That is amazing work, not to mention I'm certain it's so soft and cuddly! Children will drag your quilts around for many years to come! :D

Thank you! I have been making them since about april or may, but stopped to take two wonderful vacations, plus working. I get my house work, yard work, errands, etc all done in the AM, so I can reward myself a couple of hours in the afternoon to sew. I don't know when I'll ever get them quilted. But you see, I have a theory: If I die, my children would see bags and bags of scraps and think I was looney. But if I have them sewn up (even if they are not quilted), they will marvel at me.

I have 4 kids and 3 step kids, but only two are married, and only one of them have children. All of them are of marrying age, but just haven't done so. Mostly I give them to friends, or sell them at the hospital gift shop (they keep $2 commission).

Oh, mgshaw, I'll look for the pattern, I can't remember which one it was.

Yes, it's such an easy pattern! http://www.quilterscache.com/T/TumblingBlocksBlock.html

Sara, those are great. I've been trying to do the same thing lately. I have tons of flannels in kids prints. I'm on my third one now.
