I got a lot of sewing in this weekend. I cut this out Saturday afternoon and finished it last night. I need it for a baby shower this weekend. The baby is a boy, due in late October

You have to tell me how you made the back and fronts line up just right??? I'm working on the sandwich for a quilt right now, I made the back a giant four patch, and I'm having the darndest time lining it up!! I have to line it up before I quilt it though, otherwise the quilting will look awful on the back.

This being a rag quilt, you actually sandwich each square, I made the 4 patch, which was 9 1/2 ", placed a piece of 8" batting between it and another 9 1/2" piece of flannel. To get the two colors on the back I just backed two of the four patch sets with the green and the other two with the white and then just sewed them together so that the backs would checkerboard. The "sandwiched" squares are then sew back to back with each other with a 1/2" seam. I then clipped all the seams so they would "unravel" hence "rag"

I like the 4 patch idea for one side! That's different that the usual basic square! Nice work on your quilt!
