n2scraplvr 04-25-2010 04:28 PM

The little boy you did is just so petite and cute! His tee shirt looks just like what he would put on today!! haha. Will the shoes be velcroed on also? I guess Big Sis is happy to have him along!! Her little dress fabric just matches her to a tee!! So different and so darling! Great job, bopeep!! :D :D

That's just the neatest thing I've ever seen!! Will the dolls be appliqued to a quilt?

sharon b 04-25-2010 07:27 PM

Wish I knew about this when I was babysitting for my 5 year old niece during spring break

sew cute

MNQuilter 05-05-2010 01:46 PM

These would make great church toys, except I could see DD tearing the clothes off as loud as could be! Maybe use flannel on the back of each clothing item? Does anyone think this would work well enough for a little girl or boy to play with?

I think that might work...for playing with them in church...it sure would not be as loud as the velcro.....would be worth getting it a try...if it doesn't work you can always add the velcro...

Barbm 05-10-2010 05:15 PM

gosh- another thing to add to the "someday" list!

they turned out great!

thimblebug6000 05-10-2010 05:19 PM

My DD had similar ones when she was young, you can do bows for the hair and purses or a bouquet of flowers, hats, glasses, what does your child love....ice cream cones... baseball bats, no problem ....it's endless what you can make.

iltoaz 05-10-2010 05:49 PM

Thanks for the great idea for the gdaughter.

CRH 05-23-2010 11:16 AM

Thanks for the link to the flat Matt and Emelie. My GD and I made the boy doll, pants and shirt yesterday, and she enjoyed it.

Luv Quilts and Cats 05-23-2010 11:17 AM

CarrieAnne 05-23-2010 11:28 AM

Aw, thats cute, and more lasting than paper dolls!

reach for the stars 2 05-23-2010 12:02 PM

Cute never seen one but hear of them. They are like fabric paper dolls. They even make different out fits for them

redrummy 05-23-2010 01:40 PM

What a cute idea. I can hardly wait to do one with my grandkids. They will love it.

SewExtremeSeams 10-15-2010 12:20 PM

I know I am a little late but I just ran across this. Your dolls are adorable and what a great idea. Lots of ways to be creative and they won't tear like paper dolls and clothes used to with little fingers. Thanks for posting!
