A beautiful quilt and gorgeous quilting! I’m still not sure how you cut and pieced the blocks but when I first saw it I thought it was some new pinwheel.

Now having visualizations of Toogie in her sewing room, doing a test run on this!

Have you done a OBW? this is only four layers of fabric.

QuiltE you're right, I left out the most important feature, my dog Drake.

To answer your other question, I have made quite a few OBW's with 6 layers, and two S&W's with 4 layers. One of the S&W's actually used strips.

Dunster! ... Without your trademark pooch photo, how would we know it was your quilt? Kidding of course!!
Though I am chuckling at this photo, as to me your dog has "that" look of
"But mommm, why am I never allowed on your quilts until you get that camera out?"

Now that's an interesting one with the strips! Have never seen that done before.
The 4PP that I mentioned, I started with strips, only because I was so uncertain of it all. So, I was only willing to take the risk with a strip off the side to layer the 4-repeats, and then sub-cut into the needed squares for each block. I'm still wowed by the process ... and the results of mine OBWish quilts and those of others too!

Are you kidding? That dog has quilts on his beds and some serve as rugs so he won't slip around on smooth floors. He is so spoiled!

Can't wrap my head around your technique, but I love the finished quilt.

Dogs are meant to be spoiled. Ours are laying around my computer chair as I eat breakfast and hand them occasional "treats" of a leftover Thanksgiving biscuit LOL Love your pics of Drake!
Your quilts and quilting are always amazing but those metallics just glow in the sunlight. What a lovely "save" from using the fabric as it was. Ingenious.
