I pulled out a UFO...a Grandmother's Flower Garden Quilt that I'm making from scraps (except for the white and green garden paths between the flowers). I've been sewing and sewing and sewing...it's a fun project to work on in the evenings while I'm watching television. So..today after my sewing machine/shipping fiasco I decided to see how many more flowers I needed for the quilt. I started pulling out flowers, and more flowers and more flowers. I counted 99 flowers! Goodness...I only needed 56 to make a queen size quilt! Oh well...I'll just make a few more and make two quilts! Now...I need to start working on more white and green hexagons! I'm having way too much fun with this project!

Very pretty.

What size are your hexagons? I may be doing the same thing you did. I will have to count mine. Yours is very pretty.

I'm lovin' that.

You can never have too many flowers:) Very pretty and I love the bee. I just counted my "flowers" yesterday and I finally have enough, just have to add some extra "paths" and do the red betweens....and maybe, just maybe the top will be finished this year!

I was surprised at how many I've made, especially in the last week! I'm printing out the hexagons, cutting them out of the plain xerox paper, using a fabric glue stick to form the fabric around the paper and then basting them either by hand or machine and finally hand sewing the hexs together. I thought it would take forever, but it's going much quicker than I thought. |

A better view of what I counted in flowers!
Nice surprise! Beautiful flowers!
It will be beautiful when you are finished. You could make pillow covers with some of the extras or put some on the backing fabric.
Two quilts is the solution. Your quilt is just lovely.
I love it...looks so antiquish (is that a word)? Did you also make the quilt that is under all the flowers you have laid out?
Love the hexagon. I thinks they are so pretty.
