Here are the photos that didn't print yesterday. Only one printed & the other 2 were PSD files & so you had to download them to see them. I was told to use JPG or PNG files. You have to be a computer whiz to post photos & I'm not. So my husband is going to help me tonight & hopefully I'll do it right.

cool

That is such a pretty quilt. I like the carry over of the roses to the border. It's lovely.

postal packin' mama 05-19-2010 09:20 PM

the sashing is also interesting -- dark on one side & light on the other side, sewn together at the intersections at angles?? 45 degree angles??
Thanks - I'd love to replicate that 3-D effect.

I can't believe how pretty that quilt is. I love floral fabric and that is a lot of florals. They look great together. Although there appears to be no design to the pillow cases they seem to have just the right color of green to help set the quilt off even more. I saw the other picture you posted and it is too bad you can't show off the back somehow. It is also beautiful. Love the whole quilt. Love all the flowers.

I want to make some pillow shams to go with everything. I have some extra of the rose material from the back & may use it somehow. I like the color of the pillowcases & may try find a similar green. I wish I had more of the triangle green material but unfortunately I didn't get enough. I just thought the pillowcases would look better than the head board of the bed. LOL

The shadow box sashing was a challenge for me. The mitered 45 degree angles gave me fits. LOL

Yes I did miter each intersection with 45 degree angles. Crazy huh?? I was about crazy by the time I was done. LOL

Pam your quilt is beautiful! What size are the floral blocks, and how many did you use, if I may ask.

Thanks! The floral blocks are 10.5" & I used 50 for a Cal King bed. The quilt is about 97 x 113"

Are all the blocks unique? No duplicates? Wow!!

Leota 05-20-2010 09:33 PM

That is really pretty.... You gave me an idea of making a quilt for my mother who loves flowers... I could make the flower blocks and then frame them like you have...
very nice...

magpiefeather 05-20-2010 10:48 PM

I see alot of the "Flower Show" fabrics in this! I LOVE your quilt because I love the large florals and this quilt showcases them so perfectly! Nice job!

bstanbro 05-20-2010 10:49 PM

Wow! Gorgeous! What a great idea. Something else for my to-do list.

I had some favorites that I duplicated & just arranged far apart on the quilt. I loved the roses & tulips & sunflowers & have more than 1 of each of those.

DebbieLynn 05-21-2010 07:55 AM

That is beautiful, like a refreshing spring day!!
