Machine embroidery that does the quilting. Only drawback is you embroider with batting and top fabric and when you add batting for whole quilt, it is not as soft. It would be perfect for a wall hanging. The design is from Designs by JuJu. The airplane fabric was perfect for border. |

if you have to add batting to the squares before quilting, just do the Quilt As You Go method. no extra batting behind the embroidered blocks. yes, the stitches would show.
