This is the first quilt I'm posting for my QB friends - I figured it is about time :-P I made this quilt for my Dad in 04. He passed away in 07 so I have the quilt. It's far from perfect but Dad loved it and that's what mattered to me. I didn't have helpers to hold up the quilt for the pic so had to lie it down - helps hide imperfections this way too LOL!! :-P

MerryQuilter - I'm sorry for the loss of your Dad. It will be 4 years on the 22nd of this month since he passed and I still have 'those moments' every so often. I remember going to the grocery store about a month after Dad passed and I wasn't thinking about him at the moment. I walked by men's razors and rememberd him & I shopping together for them & had all I could do to compose myself in the grocery store. A close friend's Mom called after he passed. She is 85 and her parents passed when she was 35. She said she still sheds a tear every once in a while. You're right we were blessed to have them.
