Wow! Impressive. Did you draw the butterfly design on the green? I haven't tried outlining yet, but this gives me encouragement that I might be able to do it. Thanks!

Yes you can!
and yes I did draw the butterfly design on the green. I just used the portion that was there and reflected it to the green. In some cases there was very little of the butterfly showing on the print, so I tried to draw pretty much the whole thing. Outlining is not that hard ... I just slow down from my FMQ speed a tad. Pick a thread that blends/matches well, and any of your oops will be more forgiving!!

Good Luck, and be sure to show me what you do!

Wow, that is beautiful. What a great take on FMQ. Hope I remember your idea when I get ready to FMQ.

Branching out? Looks like you are a new FMQ star! Your feathers/ferns are stunning! did you do this on your DSM?

I love the way you carried out the butterfly and the twig like an echo. It is one of those endearing things about a quilt - you see them when you get close to a quilt, but they are probably not visible from a distance. Like a little secret between the viewer and the quilter. :)

Yes, I only use a DSM ... with no interest in a LA. However, I am intrigued with the S16 and other sit down possibilities. I'm bound that I am going to "learn" FMQing and so keep trying different things.

What you said about the "secret between the viewer and the quilter" rings so true. Now that I am doing more and more of my own quilting, I realize how much I have missed by not looking close enough at the quilting, when looking at quilts. Now, I think I have reversed ... study the quilting, and now missing some of the pieced detail! YIKES!! need to get it together! :D

The table runner is beautiful and the FMQ is so gorgeous I can't put it down in words. I FMQ but I am still stippling. Keep up the good work.
