beautiful :)

Awesome! My daughter has asked for a butterfly quilt, so I have been searching for fabric. Yours is beautiful. I don't have the talent or the time to come up with something like that. With the applique, I would think you wouldn't want much quilting. It will still be beautiful, no matter how you finish it!

BEAUTIFUL quilt! I can not help with the ideas....just nothing that will take away from the beaut of this!

That is beautiful! I wouldn't do too much quilting on it because it's so pretty just like it is. I liked bjchad's suggestions.

Good luck! Show us what you do. |
I don't have any suggestions, but I love your quilt!

That is beautiful! You could trace one of the butterflies to make a template and quilt butterflies all over it. Or flowers/loops/butterflies. I'd be tempted to use either a variegated thread in the blues or a gold (not necessarily metallic, maybe regular thread but gold color) over the center part and black in the border, just to add texture and not to take away from the center. Be sure to show it when you are done! I'd love to see that finished!

Sorry, don't have any idea about the quilting. Just wanted to say that is an absolutely gorgeous wall hanging. Love the fabrics/colors/butterflies. Great job...

My first thought was echo quilting around the butterflies with black thread then as you get to the wider portion of the black border..a medium meander. As for the blue blocks...again I would use thead that matches so it doesn't stand out and sort of follow the flow of the gold . I don't know what I would do in the darker blue blocks.... sorry
