All Done On My DSM
It's quilted on my DSM!
That was an important piece of information I left out. There is so much you can do with a DSM. If not on the quilt face itself, then in the borders. Borders are a perfect place to add decorative quilting because they are part of the frame. Decorative quilting sometimes interferes with the quilt design not enhancing it. However, the empty spaces are fair game!

Thank you! I will enjoy referring to your sampler to help me with learning free-motion quilting. Your photos are great!
What weight thread did you use? Also what type needle do you find works well? (quilting, microtex, universal?) I like your reasoning that quilting becomes easier when divided into sections making zig zag paths. I am trying to picture the paths before the quilting is added. Can you show a paper drawing of your zig zag paths please? |
