FMQing Practice

Still needs a lot of work, but it looked better by the end than it did in the beginning!

The backing in the second quilt isn't stained--just a mottled fabric. :)

I applaud your FMQ. I am still doing baby steps with my FMQ. All I am willing to do at this point in time, is just the borders. I still do SID in the body of my quilt. I know it takes practice and I would say that you are moving right along with your practice. Keep up the good work.

I remember doing line designs in art in 7th grade, kinda like FMQ. i did 2 quilts,
and i must say, you're wayahead of me. just finished a 1600 quilt and will attempt to fmq that later this month.

Yeah for you. Keep going. It is really a matter of practice which gives you confidence. The quilting is my favorite part of doing a quilt.

You are doing good so far!

Oh, that looks good! You are way ahead of me, as I have yet to try FMQ, and I may never get that brave! Hot Rod would approve!

Thanks for the kind words, everyone.

I have the Hot Rod Seal of Approval, yay!

Looking good! Seems like it ought to be so easy just to glide along in curves, but it sure isn't!

You are doing better than me too! Great job!!
