About a year age I bookmarked a post written by Romille about a chenille baby blanket:

i finally decided to give it a try! Easy fun project, although I did break down and buy the Olfa chenille cutter. My blanket turned out to be about 38 x 38". I bought the material at Joann's. Next time I'll get some from my LQS to see if better quality fabric makes a difference.

I love the look of this, did you use cotton or fleece fabric? So interesting how it came out. Have you washed it yet? I'm sure it's soft too.

Thanks for looking! I used cotton printed fabric and cotton flannel. I prewashed the fabric before sewing, which I don't usually do, because I didn't trust what the flannel might do. I then washed again after putting the binding on. It's soft, but I think if I had used some fabric softener it would be softer. Also I assume the more it gets washed the softer it will become.

What a cute quilt! That is a technique I have never tried but your cute quilt makes me want to give it a try. I think I will have to explore the idea.
