Fourth of July Quilt Top Finished - cross post
1 Attachment(s)
Several weeks ago I joined the International Patriotic Quilt Challenge, and last weekend I finished piecing the top. I had hoped to have it quilted and folded over the antique rocker in my living room, but with work being insane, and one roadblock or another related to the quilt, I don't know if I will get it loaded onto the frame and quilted by the 4th as we are leaving for vacation on the 3rd.
This pattern is called Rows of Sweet Liberty and was part of a Stash Dash in 2010. The fabric collection is called Sweet Liberty by Pat Sloan. I normally don't like sampler quilts, but I think this one worked up nicely. Unfortunately the small stars didin't show up on the red and blue fabric, they just look like dots. But they are stars in red, white, and blue, honest! Thanks for looking. |
Very Pretty ! It did work up nice :)

Ooh, I love that!

Thanks Sharon. The way it worked was you got 1 pattern and the material for 6 blocks at each shop you visited. It is funny, because the fabric I like the least is the cheddar color one, but my DH likes that, but doesn't care for the stripey ones...different strokes! I plan to quilt it with a star pattern. Can't wait to get it finished!

I like the way it turned out. Great fabric choices and the layout is really nice. Please show us how it looks once it's quilted. Thanks for sharing.

Nice work.

I think it looks wonderful! I agree with you about sampler quilts, but this doesn't feel like that type. It's more of a strippy quilt. Well done!

It's a true patriotic quilt to me. |
