FQ Bundle Personal Challenge
1 Attachment(s)
I bought a FQ bundle a year ago and decided to personally challenge myself to see how many projects I could make until bundle gone. I don't know about you but I typically make one quilt...then the balance is absorbed in stash. These are costly and my personal downfall (I love FQ bundles). So, hence the challenge. I have made a full size quilt, 3 pillows, a basket of tiny pillows, 3 wallhangings (Dresden Wonky Neighborhood and Hillside Houses I previously posted), a bunch of pin cushions, and snipped some for applique projects.....so many projects and I still have a stack of fabric with pieces too big to cut up. So….here is another pillow. This is from Laundry Basket Quilts, Pillow Talk Book.... I didn't have this book but, obviously, the pattern is pretty simple to figure out. However, I just bought the book and want to make more of her patterns. I made this for a friend who recently graduated from grad school. It reminded me of "answer sheets" some professors use for test taking. I remember them well when I was in grad school and how often I wanted to just color in the dots. lol... Hopefully, picture posts.

Cute pillow!

Your pillow is great. Nice job. Thanks for sharing. FQs also are the perfect size for cloth napkins.

Very pretty and colorful pillow...it will surely brighten up your friend’s home. Sounds like you certainly made the most of your FQ bundle.

I Love that pillow!

I saw the pattern for your pillow on the authors website yesterday and thought "How cute"...but thought about making a baby quilt with the pattern. Love your pillow, it's something my daughter would enjoy in her new home.

Sounds like you have gotten a lot of use out of that bundle! Cute pillow.

What a delightful pillow!!!
Teen, I'm a fat quarter and pre-cut lover. I'm addicted to them!!! I was thinking of you the other day. I almost signed up for the Vintage Housewife quilt. It reminds me of your avatar, which I absolutely love. But there is too much applique in the VH quilt so I passed on it. |
Good for you! I usually do one thing, too, then have leftovers. Your pillow is cute.
|
It is amazing to hears just how much you were able to get out of your FQ Bundle! All of this and more. I love the pillow too. Great job (s).

Your pillow is so cute and colorful. Love it and your friend will really enjoy your great workmanship.

Pretty pillow.

Sounds like you are very creative. Your pillow is cute.

I love that pillow, Teen!
Who would have thought you could get so many projects out of one fat quarter bundle? Kind of scary when I think about all the fat quarter bundles I have sitting around. I've been concentrating on using up stash yardage and scraps, never even thought about how many projects (how many years of sewing) are hiding in my fat quarter bundles LOL! Rob |
What a challenge you’ve had using that bundle! The pillow is beautiful.
