I took a class to learn how to make this french braid. It was pretty easy, but I'm not happy with how the "yellow" popped out. Let that be a lesson in color for me. I just love working with Batiks. It's going to hang in my sewing room behind the Murphy bed where it won't be seen until the bed is layed down. Thanks for looking. :-D

I made a batik quilt one time and the same thing happened with some yellow fabric after I was done with the top. I couldn't stand it so I mixed up a little brown fabric paint diluted it tremendously and painted those fabric pieces. It muted it enough that it blended well and I was ok with it. Be sure to iron after it dries to "set" it. In your case I think you mightd try a little orange paint instead of brown or a mix of both. Your quilt is beautiful.

I agree on the paint but i'd probably just blend to the edge, leaving a little "bright" in the center of the strip.

I was thinking the same thing. Someone suggested a tea bag wash...just on the yellow.

Oh my, this is beautiful!!!

I was thinking tea to calm the yellow. The rest blend very nicely.
